A NETWORK OF WOMEN IN FOOD AND DRINK WHO COME TOGETHER FOR INSPIRATION, COLLABORATION AND EDUCATION

Females in Food is a powerful and influential collective of female food and drink artisans, innovators, business leaders and entrepreneurs. A community dedicated to empowering women around the globe. Females in Food provides opportunities and resources to make it easier for women to grow their profile and their business. Together we’re building a stronger community.

Our COMMUNITY IS:

Inspired – Constantly discovering new and exciting initiatives that help them innovate. Listening to women who’ve gone before them and discovering new opportunities and industry leading innovations.

Connected – Exploring new partnerships. Meeting face-to-face or online and creating new opportunities. Getting industry specific support that can’t be found anywhere else.

Informed – Implementing Females in Food resources and sharing information from the community. Learning new ways to grow their business, their career and their profile.

The Females in Food collective came about when our founder, Chelsea Ford, an expert and leader of the food and drink industry, left a successful career at some of the industry heavyweights (think Kellogg’s, Nestle and Douwe Egberts for starters) and began consulting.

The more Chelsea moved away from the large players, the more she discovered women in food and drink struggling to not only find the business information they needed to get ahead, but also a supportive network that understood what a lonely journey it can be.  As a result Chelsea developed a passion for shaping a better future for women in the food and drinks industry.

Sure, there are hundreds of great networking groups out there, but none are focused on the unique needs and challenges of those in the food and drinks industry.

Imagine connecting a woman currently working out of a home kitchen with a food manufacturer? What if that manufacturer had better connections with the perfect distributor? What if those running catering companies had easier access to unique foods and drinks developed by entrepreneurs from around the world? What if food stylists and photographers all had a place to connect and network?

Well, that’s our mission at Females in Food – to promote a world where women are empowered to create opportunities for themselves and others.

Females in Food – it really is an empowered collective.
